We believe that user groups play an important role in the community providing a forum for learning, discussion and networking. These groups and events greatly benefit from financial support through the User Group Society allowing coordinators to provide refreshments and food, provide small gifts for presenters, pay for the travel of guest speakers from other regions or even overseas. The society also organiser larger events such as Code Camps that are small one day free conferences held in a region with a full day of presentations and networking.
To keep the community active and supported we offer the chance for organisations or individuals who are linked to this community to become a Friend of the Society through an annual fee of $300.
To recognise this contribution the society will offer our friends two benefits.
- Society Friends will be allowed to load job listings onto this site
- Society Friends will be given first right of refusal on sponsoring community events organised through the society such as Code Camps.
