This demonstration will first be on the SharePoint online offering and functionality available today including the customisation available through SharePoint Designer.
We will then discuss the limitations in this platform to extend and build custom solutions and how SharePoint 2010 will enable this.
The second part of the talk will show how to deploy custom code in a Sandbox fashion along with best practice boundaries imposed on these solutions. This will be a fairly technical presentation for the second half.
The changes introduced for deploying solutions in SharePoint 2010 can also be applied to internal infrastructure as well as in the cloud so worthwhile session for those not intending to have their sites hosted outside their environment.
