Silverlight - What's New 4.0 This presentation will be centred around the latest version of Silverlight - I'll demo/discuss/show as much as we have time for, there's no shortage of cool stuff to cover. Depending on a show of hands on the day, I may also take time to introduce Silverlight to those new to it and discuss where I see it fitting into the web application landscape - this alone could take up a whole session but even for Silverlight converts it's important to understand where it fits, why it isn't simply another Flash, why traditional HTML/CS/JS based web applications are still important, why standards are important but not a pre-requisite for web technology, where WPF and Silverlight are heading... So come along - looking forward to seeing some new faces.

Some info on Andrew Tokeley: I've been involved with building and designing solutions using Microsoft technologies since the mid 90's. I've been Statistician, Developer, Solution Architect, Development Manager and Product Manager but throughout have maintained a love of technology and what it can do to simplify business and everyday life. I've been boring anyone who will listen about how cool Silverlight is and where it can change the way we deliver applications over the web.
