Meeting

Introduction to .NET Charts

Abstract

Late last year Microsoft licenced the Dundas charts to be used royalty free within any .NET development. The flexibility of these charts is immense, perhaps too much so, resulting in a very complex API. The discussion will help to clarify some of the API as well as extend some features so that common, basic charts can easily be created without having to deal with the more complex binding.

Location

Wintec City Campus, A Block, Room 1.07

Start Time

25/06/2009 6:00 p.m.

End Time

25/06/2009 8:00 p.m.

Description

Late last year Microsoft licenced the Dundas charts to be used royalty free within any .NET development. The flexibility of these charts is immense, perhaps too much so, resulting in a very complex API. The discussion will help to clarify some of the API as well as extend some features so that common, basic charts can easily be created without having to deal with the more complex binding. The charts can be used within ASP and WinForms making them a great tool for reporting in any environment. Hopefully after this talk you will realise that making pretty reports for the management team no longer has to be an arduous task. In fact, some automation, and you can have them build their own.
